The AGM is coming up on September 30th.

Summerfolk is still a fresh and fond memory but life and business go on and it is now time to get ready for the Annual General Meeting which takes place in the Old Courthouse on September 30th at 1 o'clock.

This is a chance for voting members to hear a summary of the work of this year's Board including festival results and to elect a new Board for the upcoming year. 6 members of the previous Board are halfway through their 2 year term of office and will be remaining. There will be election for the remaining 6 seats. It is important for supporting members of the Society to take the time to attend this meeting; it is your opportunity to have a say in the affairs of the organization and to provide direction to the incoming Board.

The Board is primarily responsible to deal with matters of policy and fund raising and Board members also chair the standing committees of the Board. They are required to attend at least one Board meeting a month and spend an average 16 hours a month on various related duties.

The Nomination Committee is responsible for preparing a slate of candidates for consideration at the Annual General meeting taking into account the skills and expertise needed to fulfil the Board's function. For further information call the office and leave a message. We will get back to you.
